hey paul great vid. been watching the entire series since my gf got a 96 rav4 and have been doing most repairs myself. her car just started misfiring on cylinder 2; bad idling and shaking. when she pulled up, there was white smoke coming from the area around the catalytic converter and what looks like some sort of liquid? you think it might be a bad head gasket issue? or any other suggestions to try before all this? Regarding the tensioner spring. According to the manual (10:20) it should measure 46mm. Inside to Inside, see the drawing. However you measure the outside and get 45mm. I got confused as I measured my spring according to your example and got 48mm. I concluded it was faulty and ordered a new one which measured 48mm again. Untill I found the same drawing, as you show in your video, in my Haynes manual and discovered it should be measured inside to inside. Now I have two servicable springs;-) The video was a great help though. Thanks!

What is the result of the stiffened diff mounts? I fully understand the Tortsen upgrade and I recognise the play in the driveline as I have the same. Never tought that this was caused by sloppy rubber mounts. I believed it was wear somewhere.

Would you or anyone know why my new 150cc is bogging down/shaking when I'm at a stop and try to accelerate? I have checked the carb and spark plug and they are good but can't figure out what's going on with it?

Would I need to use a better exhaust after installing a less restrictive filter and bigger jets?

I actually just changed the tire on my 49cc scooter... my dad was standing on the tire and i stepped on the back and it took about 300-ish pounds to be able to get the tire off the bead/seat I didn't think to remove the shrader valve when inflating it tho.. i just used a ratchet strap to compress the tire and that makes it easy to fill with air as well.. but that sounds way easier than what I did

Incorrect info in this video. That pressure went abnormally high on the pressure test. Do it on a car with no issues and you’ll see it doesn’t go anywhere close to as high on the pressure even after 20 mins of idling. ALSO, He only did the block tester for 2 mins, I’ve seen them take up to 10-20 mins before they turned the fluid yellow. I’d bet money that that car did intact have a blown HG. I’m sure if I watched more vids of his he’d mention it.

Why are Hyundai's and Kias are such bad engines and there at least one car maker that doesn't have direct injection it is Suzuki why they don't sell Suzuki's in North America but they do sell them in Australia and also no engine cover and we will change the oil at the recommended interval also my 1997 Toyota Hilux has done 437000 kilometres and doesn't burn oil at all and l will be changing the oil at its regular 10000 kilometres 6000 miles and it doesn't consume any oil but it does consume petrol and it doesn't have fuel injection it has a carburator and l can drive any were in Australia and at the yearly registration inspection in N.S.W only no emission testing and l can't understand any body buying a Hyundai or Kia although tbey are obviously sold in Australia and we have a greater choice of good reliable vehicles available in Australia and l can't understand you bought a Hyundai were at least you have Toyota's Honda's and Mazdas not the diesel but the petrol ones are fine and the Toyota's are very popular in Australia

I paid $1200 for my first one brand new.. this last one cost me $1818 and it lasted half a year.. dude got a better deal then me but at least I was able to get mine fixed last week for under $20 (spark plug/spark plug wire) were replaced and it fired up. I had tried spark plugs before to no avail but the wire seemed to fix it.. I am still pretty sluggish with it.. more so then when it was new.. its only got 4600 miles on it tho.

Why don't you replace the fifth bulb? What kind of bulb would you advice if chanching this fifth in combination with the LEDs?

What’s the cost for a high pressure fuel pump? I called Hyundai and they told me $745. Is there anywhere I can get it cheaper? And also they said a PCV valve cost $40. I have a 2016 Hyundai Tucson with 90k miles. My last oil change barely had oil smh. And it was my first time experiencing this. Had the car since 2019 and have been on point with my maintenance. Hey Paul. I have typical GY6 Chinese Scooter 125 ccm (152QMI). And I have two problems. 1st: initial acceleration up to 20 kph (about 13 mph) is VERY slow, the scooter seems like it doesn't want to get to higher RPM, it's very hesitating. Once I reach about 20-25 kph (13-17 mph) the acceleration is good. I already replaced belt, variator and put aliexpress "dr. pulley" sliders. Could it be small pilot jet? The second problem is low maximum speed. Only 80 kph (50 mph). I had GY6 before and the acceleration was WAY better and the maximum speed was like like 90-92 kph (56-57 mph) and I don't know what to do. Really hoping to get an answer, I love your vids. Thanks.

The problem with this is people don't realize changing oil on turbo engines is more critical and also many are not changing the pcv valve. My two Elantra 2.0 went 240000miles but I have been working as a mechanic since college since 2009 and I noticed all this on the new engine design changes make maintenance more critical. Look at spark plugs most modern vehicles only do 30000-40000miles on platinum and iridium once marketed as 100000miles on port injected engine's.

If you have a 1998-2000 model the T55 is also used for the drain plug on the rear diff, was confused to see it was different. Used royal purple oil tho, just so I can say my car is sipping on lean :)
